As with most other Wagner's birdseed varieties, "my local" city birdies (chickadees, finches, sparrows, jays, and the occasional doves and juncos) seem to be fond of this blend that was concocted for their Eastern cousins. And the banquet goes on!This product is desirable! I so enjoy watching these Birds enjoying these products.Have it on subscribe and save. Nice not to have to go to the store and lug it to the car. The birds are happyAlthough this bird food says it is for the eastern birds, the birds in the Midwest seem to like it too. However, I am getting mixed reviews from the rabbits and squirrels so I only gave "flavor" 4 stars. The rabbits have to eat it from the ground, which they probably resent, while the squirrels are able to climb up the feeder pole and have a great time eating, although all the while shaking the seeds to the ground for their buddies, the rabbits. Of course they are not suppose to climb up there, so if I catch them they get a harsh reprimand and jump down immediately and join the rabbits. They have indicated to me that they really like the sunflower seeds the best as they eat them first. The migrating mallard ducks came to check it out, but I had to ask them to leave due to possible bird flu. They have not returned so all is well with that. All in all, I'd say this is the best buy on Amazon for bird food. It's chock full of sunflower seeds and has a tasty variety as well. I bought this despite it being formulated for "Eastern birds" and hoped that my birds here in the Midwest would like it as well - and they did! I took the chance because the price per pound was the best one I could find on Amazon. I am very happy with it and I think all bird lovers will be most happy with it. Not one bird has complained to me so far and they seem to be telling others about how good it is, as I see more and more different bird species every day!Wagners Eastern Blend Wild Bird Food-Compares very Favorably to otherWild Bird Foods-I have Used. It is full ofBlack Sunflower Seeds-which the Birds-devour-easily—They Never Tire of this Blend.Good mix , no excess of millet . Birds of all types partake .I have seen at least 10 different types of birds eat from my bird feeder, and a few more eating what falls onto the ground. I chose this feed over one with the larva, so the birds would eat the grubs in my yard. The feed brought the birds, and now see them pecking all over my yard for what I believe to be grubs! 20 lbs in a lot, but great price for it, and I have no worries this will last me for the year with only one feeder. Many varieties of seed. Pleases countless birds.Purchased my first bird feeder and placed it in the backyard. Within a week, I had finches, sparrows, blue jays, cardinals, and morning doves. Unfortunately, it also attracted the local squirrels. I blame my bird feeder for not being as squirrel proof as I thought. I have refilled my bird feeder twice this week already! The birds absolutely love this food. I have had over 40 birds show up all at once just to eat! This food attracts so many birds I needed to buy a second bird feeder!Bit too pricey compared to what is available in the market. Shouldn't be above $7-$10.A GREAT PRODUCT. ALL THE BIRDS LOVE IT, THE CARDINALS ARE A TREAT!Very good and it attracts the Mourning Doves which is wonderful.
