Definitely an excellent value espresso machine. It works well enough, but definitely lacks in the details. The included tamper is utterly trash tier, upgrade asap. The steamer is pretty weak, but definitely usable to make microfoam. It just isn't quite as forgiving or powerful as a higher tier wand and it uses an attachment piece instead of a solid wand. I guess it's supposed to make cleaning easier, but you'll have to detach it will every single use in order to clean the pipe that juts into the attachment. The part that injects water into the coffee leaks, so be careful when using it. It leaks whether it is set to brew or steam. It doesn't leak badly, but sporadically dribbles extremely hot water when the unit is on.Most of the parts are plastic, but it looks like the important stuff is metal and, after a couple months of use, the plastic parts seem to be holding up with the exception of a piece on the portafilter that seems to be designed to flip over and hold the basket when you smack the puck out. Mine broke off accidentally way too easily. Luckily, this is an almost completely useless feature as the basket won't fall out unless you twist it to the unlocked position. I use a knock box with it and the plastic flap thing isn't missed. The warming tray up top might as well not be called a warming tray. Sure, after the machine is on for 30 minutes, it gets mildly warm, but it's not really useful. That said, the unit itself warms up to usable brewing or steam temperatures very quickly, like within 5 minutes usually. If you're looking for a high quality machine, you're looking at too low of a price. If you want an entry level espresso machine that genuinely works and includes a functional steam wand, this is 100% your machine. For the price, you'd usually expect cheap trash that makes, at best, a sort of pseudoespresso, but not this. You definitely get your money's worth, and I'd highly recommend this to someone other than a top tier coffee enthusiast with $1k or more to burn on a coffee maker.Overall good machine, easy fill tank , good pressure.I like the milk frothing feature. I don't like that you have to stop the process manually or that it drips for quite a long time after making the coffee.Espresso coffeeThere nothing I dislike... Small , powerful, good priceWe’re still testing out our new GeekChef, so far, we’ve found out it’s easy to use and clean and the resulting cup of delicious coffee tastes lovely! One little tip, we (well, my husband, who was showing me how to use it) didn’t read the instructions: Be sure to submerge the milk frothing nozzle below the surface of the liquid to prevent milk from blasting out all over you! LolCoffee does not get very hotMy wife and I go to Starbucks everyday for a simple quad shot espresso. We bought this to hopefully save some money, man I tell you this thing is amazing! So much better and a lot cheaper over time. We did the math and it’ll pay for itself in a month. Very pleased with this awesome product and very easy to use.
