The silicone is soft and flexible and it’s really sticks ( Grabs)! to the counter top so there is no sliding around while I am rolling.Super easy to clean. I love this and will probably buy another one much larger - or even give as gifts . It’s made my pie crust rolling a breeze!I bought the red. It’s very pretty .I can roll it up tightly and put away in my drawer and it rolls up very nicely . But you can also fold it.I can finally throw away my old Foley pastry frame with the fabric!!I had no idea these even existed. What a difference in rolling out home made flat breads, naan, tortillas, crescents, etc. The dough is more uniform and less likely to stick and I like the sizing template. And that it is is easy to roll out large sized dough formations. Really easy to clean & store. Would buy again.This is an amazing piece of equipment in the kitchen. I always dreaded rolling out dough because it got it everywhere, the flour got everywhere, and it stuck to everything. Now I can make noodles, pies and anything else that I use flour and liquid for and it doesn't stick it's easy to clean up. There was another review that mentioned putting a small dish towel on it when you roll it up and store it (works perfect) and ready for the next use. Can't recommend this highly enough. If I could have given six stars I would have!I cannot believe I have never owned one of these. I love baking pies and this makes rolling out the crust and cleanup a breeze. The measurements on the mat are so useful. Je n’ai pas envie de m’empoisonner donc je suggère de ne pas l’enfourner même si il est indiqué le contraire.I specifically purchased this item to roll out dough and to make cookies and things like that, but upon my first use in the oven, I found the air filled with a strange pale smoke. While the other thing didn't appear to melt or dissolve the mat it did put off this strange white smoke.Either the seller doesn't know or doesn't care that this product may be dangerous or possibly not entirely healthy.I'll be looking for a less smoky mat for baking. By this if you are just going to use it on the countertop but I'd avoid the oven, unless you don't mind mystery smoke.I just received this pastry mat two days ago and haven't had a chance to use it yet, but will be sure to update my review when I do. I laid it out on my counter top and washed it well with soap and warm water, so it's all ready to go. I love the feel of the material and it sticks well to the counter without moving around, so I think that rolling out pastry with it will be a breeze.I like the mat because it is easier to set up on counter or table than a wooden board, and it is much easier to store. It is easy to clean: just wipe with a soapy cloth a few times. Just roll it up and fold and tuck in a drawer or under the counter. It is durable, sturdy, really sticks to surface. I bought the largest size so there is not much mess around it. I just have to be careful not to cut into it, so I don't use knives or sharp cutters on there. I use the wooden board if I'm making something really messy like lasagna or making large batches of cookies. I found that it was a bit expensive, maybe $10 too much.
