My older cat had a stroke and could barely walk. I got this as a litter box and he could get into it and even turn around and it was big enough for a larger cat to move around in. It is short enough to easily get in even with severe mobility issues. I used a large 36x24 pet feeding silicon mat underneath it to catch litter. Worked perfectly. He has now recovered enough use of his legs to get in our big primary litter box (thank god) but I can still find another household use for this tray.
