I love , love, love this milk can! I had originally bought one to use as a compost bucket. It works great as a compost bucket. The lid fits well and doesn't allow any fruit flies in. The size is perfect for our large family but I do believe there is a smaller size if you didn't need one so large. It is well worth the money to have a compost bucket that isn't going to breed fruit flies, looks nice enough to have on the counter, and cleans up very easily. The easy cleaning is one of the reasons I love it for a milking pail too. When I got my first one I tried my milking lid (that the vacuum and milk hose attaches to) on it and it fit so I got another to use for milking. I'm so glad I did! It is so much nicer than my old one that was big and bulky and a pain to clean. This milk can has no seams and the bottom is slightly rounded on the side edges so it is super easy to clean. My old one had a weird edge around the outside bottom that dirt and everything else would get stuck in that made it hard to clean. Again this is so nice to clean. Although it is stainless steel it isn't to heavy. My last one was very heavy and that extra weight isn't helpful when you are carrying around multiple gallons of milk! I would highly recommend this to anyone. They just came out with a larger one that is about 4gallons and I will get that one to for when I'm milking two cows. Great product!
