I've used this milk-shake blender a few times for milk-shakes and it works as expected. I've also used it for blending my protein shakes. I must say I like it better for the protein shakes as it is quicker and easier to clean than my blender. It's not a powerhouse, so blending ice cream can take a little more time and effort, but it does the job. The blending disc is plastic, so I'm sure it will not last to long, but for how often we use it (and for the price) I don't think that will be any time soon. Overall, I would say for the money it does the job.At first I was disappointed with the mixer, but it turned out that I was the problem, not the mixer..It is amazing! I've purchased a lot of different types of mixer and this is the best one! It is making a lot of foam. I am using it to make Greek coffee A.K.A. FREDDO CAPPUCCINO.I am achieving optimal results by: * Buying regular Non-Fat milk. * Putting the milk in the steel cup overnight. That helps bring the milk to a lower temperature, which is crucial for the foam. * Turning on the mixer on speed 1 and leave the cup in the cup holder for 2 minutes. * And the most important step - Enjoy your great coffee!I'm trying to gain some weight and am drinking milkshakes fairly often. The Hamilton Beach DrinkMaster is great for making them! I love this machine! The only thing I wish was different is - I wish the beater was made of stainless steel instead of plastic. But the plastic head does get the job done and once you get the hang of using the machine (and it's not difficult) - you'll love it too. :-)I’ve been threw a few other blenders and the last one before this one was a high priced and cheaply made. I made 3 shakes and the 4th one it was stripped out with tiny black plastic pieces. Anyways the prime sale perfect timing for me I bought this milkshake maker same day I received it and I used chocolate milk vanilla ice cream and peanut butter and more ice cream vanilla and it mixed a great thick shake even with the peanut butter. Most of the time I used speed 1 but when I got to the peanut butter I went too speed 2 and it mixed it all up. I did have to hold it to mix everything up but that’s okay for the price and I get a thick shake. And if just use your bare hands mixing milkshakes you will regret it use gloves or something else that will protect your hands from frostbite.Very easy to use and works well. Shakes and smoothies are quick to make and quality to drink. Great gift for the milk shake must have.Love this product! It came in a timely manner and is very efficient.It's doing what it was purchased to doIt actually works to make a reasonably good milkshake. However I feel Compelled to in this instance, This product although well made and attractive design is not fit for Just mixing Drinks , I tried three different drinks .milkshake, drinking chocolate, and frothy latte,on all three occasions the contents of the very attractive chrome contents holder emptied onto the kitchen worktop not good,I hasten to add I had read & followed the instructions to the letter. I imagine something thicker i.e batter , or omelette mix may be ok.(wouldn`t Guarantee it though) oh and you need to purchase a " us to UK " adapter as it comes with only a two prong fitting.. The main Gripe is though is when I tried to Return to seller I was told I had to use Track and trace method of postagewith would of cost me £67.83 the item costs £53.00 inc p+p ..you do the math..Thankfully AMAZON UK came to the rescue again and have filed a A-Z claim on my behalfWhen you see Hamilton Beach you think quality. This was not up to the quality as most of their other products. The price seems way too high for what I got.Essentially, it’s an under powered blender.It gets hot with continued used, but is fine if you are making just one or two.It’s pretty noisy.The chrome looks nice but there are two black plastic clips that hold the cup that don’t match and make it look cheap.I wouldn’t recommend this product at it’s present price point.Bought two of these machines and both broke after only two uses!! The unit ran hot after making only one and the insert will not stay in. Now the inset will not fit back into the mechanism because plastic inside seem to be melted . I normally do not write a review, if negative. I’ve been trying to get return authorization and cannot get reply from the shipper. Si elle dure aussi longtemps que la dernière et bien elle va me durer un bon 10 ans....For a home machine it works pretty well.After making 2 thick shakes in a row, the motor unit gets a tad bit warm.It might be nice if the mixing paddle was metal instead of plastic, and a bit more aggressive, but it still works well.I have been through a few buckets of chocolate ice cream this summer making thick yummy shakes for my friends and I.Best milkshakes in town!!
