Description
Fantes Cousin Daniele’s Expandable Dough Cutter cuts multiple strips of dough at once, all uniformly sized to cook evenly. Cut a variety of widths, from narrow 3/8-inch to 4 7/8-inch wide, and up to 7/8-inch thick. It performs the tasks of multiple kitchen tools in one. Use it as a noodle cutter to cut strips for homemade pasta, like fettuccine, lasagna, and egg noodles. Cut across the strips for squares to make farfalle, garganelle, gnocchi, or ravioli. A must-have of baking tools for desserts and treats, cut strips for pie lattices, or squares for turnovers, cookies and breadsticks. Width between cutting wheels easily adjusts to cut 4 uniform-sized strips of dough at once. Simply loosen the wing nut, adjust the frame to desired width, and tighten the wing nut to lock it in place. Roll out dough according to the recipe and dust with flour. Place cutter wheels at the edge of the dough, hold it by the frame and roll across the dough with a light pressure. Separate the dough strips and prepare according to the recipe. Cousin Daniele’s Expandable Dough Cutter wheels and frame are made from stainless steel. It’s easy to use and easy to clean. No assembly or disassembly required. Simply wipe with a dry, clean cloth before first use, and after every use. Do not submerge in water or wash in the dishwasher. Wipe with a damp sponge, if necessary, and dry thoroughly, including the rivets. Fante’s Italian pasta recipes and complete instructions are included. Fante’s, The Italian Market Original since 1906. Saw it on TV and found it on Amazon. Sturdy. Easy to use. Works as expected. Great purchase! We’ve recently started making our own pasta. We do ours by hand, this has been wonderful for ravioli and faralle but can be used for all kinds of pasta. The best part is you can use it to crimp the ravioli by simply turning it on it’s side and using the wheel with grooves. It’s easy to use and cleans up nicely! It does a great job. Make sure you have wood surface to make the best cut. Looks very sturdy. It;s just great.Lately, I've been getting into the "machina" thing to roll out pasta. I thought I could do without this tool, and just use my pizza cutter. Nah... this is much better, and who knows, I might eventually cut raviolis with it!I only wish it had the Fantes logo on it, although it does say "made in Italy". I handwash it, and will regularly oil the handle, just so it lasts longer.Used this product to make homemade cuban Guava and Cheese pastries. Purchased a pre-made pastry dough and the blades cut through perfectly. The ridged blade served as a sealing tool as well as created a nice finishing touch design. It was easy to use and worked perfectly.Compré uno nuevo y llegó uno usado con rastros de harina. Está en buenas condiciones y es lo que necesitaba pero ya había sido usadoA lot larger than I expected it to be. But this really is a great tool. Purchased as a gift with the pasta machine and the recipient will love itMeh... That's what I get for getting a cheap cutter. Super dull, have to mash down to cut through anything (like raw pasta dough!), feels flimsy. The little arms at the side of the cutters get in a way if you hold it at too low of an angle, sort of annoying. Next time, I'm investing an extra buck or two for something better. The joiner on the wheel is of low quality and makes for a wheel that does not turn smoothly when pressed. It works sometimes, but other times will stick in place and drag through a sheet of dough. Compare the first photo (this product) with the second (its replacement that I found at a thrift store). This roller is very thin metal and only held in place on one side, by a cheap rivet. The product you should get instead is thicker and held in place on both sides, by an extension of metal built into the wheel itself. It does still do the job - I definitely made plenty of pasta using this - but you will be much better served by a sturdier tool than this. The tool is a great idea for combining two popular cutting shapes. On application however, it fails to deliver. The wheels are assembled using a lock pin which is nowhere as tight as it should be resulting in a very wobbly cutter. It is not possible to cut in a straight line using either cutter wheel. So dissatisfied. The blade is so dull even for slicing thin sheets of pasta. Would never recommend.I have always bought products for kitchen, this one has a very good quality
