Most of my kitchen/cooking utensils and tools are Pampered Chef, roughly 95% of them (the remainder being almost exclusively KitchenAid products).Pampered Chef has only ever offered one (1) 2oz disher/scoop in the past 8 or 9 years. I bought mine roughly that long ago. It's been awful since the day one. I even filed for a warranty replacement that had behaved exactly the same way. It inherently jammed. Adding much frustration and needless time to preparing whatever it was [typically cookies].This KitchenAid Scoop/Disher is a dream! Right away I noticed the "travel" distance and effort required to squeeze the handle are both greatly reduced! Also the construction is by far, and immediately, noticeable. The gear mechanism that engages the scooping action had significantly deeper grooving, and the edges much sharper. Both of these prevent any slippage, which was the bane of all my problems with the PC scoop- the mechanism being much more shallow, with rounded edges.I know it's just a scoop, but truly- not only is the price unbeatable- I'm mad that I didn't start with this in my ever-growing arsenal of essential kitchen tools. This is an item purchased for my wife...on her request for making cookies for the holidays. Hundreds of cookies. This scoop worked perfectly. Her words here...Easy to use, cleans up quickly. Also easy to hold with cookie dough hands.Cookies all came out the same size which made cooking easier. A plate of cookies looks like something out of a magazine. Same size, color, and baked evenly. Again these are her words but these words are high praise when it comes to her backing. More were purchased and added to her sisters stockings.I was in need of a cookie scoop since I love making homemade chocolate chip cookies. I have been gifted the matching Aqua Sky collection besides a few items such as this. Since it matched the rest, I was more than happy to pay a bit extra for it.I got it right away and popped it in the dishwasher. Washed up perfect in the top rack. I used it a few days later making my homemade chocolate chip cookies. I found it the perfect size to scoop from my stainless steel mixer bowl.I have one complaint - it can get jammed up if the cookie dough is slightly hard or has too many chocolate chips. It takes a bit extra effort or to clean it out before using it again. I don't have this problem with any other recipe, just my chocolate chip/oatmeal cookie recipe.Even though it can get jammed once in a blue moon, it is reliable and holds up well. Dishwasher safe is a plus too!this product is great and it is perfect for what I need it for. No complaints there, however I live on a main road and it snowed the day before snow cleared from sidewalks and my walkway. I watch the delivery driver pull up in front of my house and rolled passenger window down and threw my package out the window landing between public walkway and my front lawn. I went out ask asked him if this is the way to deliver someones purchase and he just drove away with an attitude. I had to go retrieve my item and it was covered in snow very disappointed .Prior to ordering this scoop I was using a tablespoon to form my cookies. It was pure guesswork to try to get the cookies a consistent size. I ordered this scoop and not only are the cookies more consistently even, the process of scooping the cookies goes more smoothly and the dough does not stick to the scoop. I do like quality of Kitchenaid products and highly recommend this scoop.I bought this for my husband, since he tends to make tennis ball cookies instead of golf ball and thought this would help him. He loves kitchen aid, but the little slide piece in the scoop kept getting stuck. and No it wasn't the dough we were using. Even after we tried with the cookies, I cleaned it and tried it, the slider was still getting stuck when you pressed the handles together. it would only go halfway or a quarter of the way in. If it wasn't for COVID I'd return it.My grand-daughter is now into making cookies and asked for a scoop. I had a cheap one that never worked right. I decided to order this Kitchen Aid product and it works great! Quality always from this company. I’m now getting lots more cookies, all the same size and baked evenly!I've only used this once, but it feels like good quality (despite being made in China) and is easy to use. It's a game changer when making cookies, that's for sure! It was kind of pricey but as long as it holds up it will be worth it. My only real gripe is that it's much bigger than I expected it to be so it makes huge cookies.I bought this scoop trusting the brand name. Not a good idea. This scoop needed some adjusting to keep the arm on the gear otherwise it kept slipping off and popped open. Then it broke for real. The metal piece holding the arm snapped right off, probably from having keep putting the arm on the gear.Lasted one batch of cookies. My dollar store scoop lasted me 5 years before breaking. I expected better from KitchenAid.I think every kitchen should include one of these little gems. This one is a perfect size for awesome cookies. Cleanup is a little bit of work but I'm guessing that's obvious. I've only used it a few times so I can't say it has durability but so far so good!Esta muy práctica porque ayuda a tener galletas del mismo tamaño. Esta un poco difícil de usar para niños pequeños pues esta duro, pero para adultos sin problemas.I only tried it once. The cookie dough was very difficult to handle with a normal spoon since it was very sticky. With this gadget it is a piece of cake and my cookies look presentable. I have not used it long enough to comment on durability.Works great on even very soft cookie dough. I was expecting the dough to stick, but it popped out easily. Too big for the gingersnaps I make, but was easy enough to use 1/2 scoop. Will see if I can get a smaller one.
