Q1: THE PRESSURE IS LOW A1: regarding the pressure, as it can be influenced by various factors, including: (1) The roast level of the coffee beans and the grind size. We recommend using medium to dark roast coffee beans, ground to a slightly coarser texture than flour. This helps ensure proper extraction. (2) The amount of coffee grounds used. We suggest the following measurements: Single shot: 12-13g (1 flat spoon) of coffee grounds and double shot: 18-19 g (2 flat spoons) of coffee grounds. (3) The tamping pressure. We suggest apply a pressure of around 13 kilograms of force. After tamping, the surface of the coffee should be approximately 1-2mm below the filter rim. Q2: WATER OR STEAM DO NOT COME OUT A2: Espresso machines may encounter issues with water or steam not coming out due to air blockage, please follow the instructions below to operate the machine: (1) Click the on/off button to switch on the machine. (2)Click the coffee button and let the water flow out of the brewing head for a while, after that, click the coffee button again. This step will help to expel air from the coffee line and will help to clean the brewing head. (3)Please rotate the Steam Dial to the MAX position and wait until the air is released and water starts to flow. Allow the water to flow for about 20 seconds, then turn off the Steam Dial. This step will help to discharge air and unwanted condensate from the steam pipes. (4)Press the Steam button, when the Steam button stop flashing, rotate the Steam Dial for the machine to operate normally. Q3: WOULD LIKE A HOTTER CUP OF COFFEE A3: (1)Place cups in the hot cup area before making coffee. (2)Before attaching the portafilter, let the brewing head run out of the water for a while. (3)Soak the portafilter in hot water, or attach the portafilter and let the water from the brewing head run.

There are a few features on this machine that makes me feel like it's on the upper end of a beginners set up. If you can find this with a coupon, there's a ton of value here. First, there's the industry standard 58mm portafilter. Lot's of options out there to accessories and dial in your espresso. I picked up a bottomless portafilter, so that I can create enough clearance for a scale and a larger cup. The pressure solenoid, which releases the latent pressure in the puck after a shot is pulled into the drip tray, is a feature more commonly found on more expensive machines. The temperature screen, which switches to a timer when pulling a shot, is surprisingly helpful. Lastly, the easy to read pressure gauge is indispensable to finding the right grind setting for your beans. If you're just starting your espresso journey, I would very much recommend this machine, and with the money you've saved, spend it on the best grinder you can afford.
