We do not add additional ingredients to make the bar harder. Because of this, it is best to store your soap in a soap dish with holes or as far away from the shower head as possible after use. Keep your soap as dry as possible when not in use. This will make the soap bar last longer. We have had other customers tell us that their bars have lasted many weeks by keeping it away from water when not in use. The lather of natural soap also depends on how hard or soft your water is. Unlike commercial soaps, natural handmade soaps retain their glycerin during the soap making process. This makes them gentler on skin and a good choice for people with dry and/or sensitive skin
